Does anyone out there press rivet plastic replacement pieces back onto target switches.

Re: Riveting Targets
I suppose you could with the right rivets and a press. I made up a press for doing ramps and ramp flaps.

Re: Riveting Targets
I'm going to purchase some rivets and the dies from here: http://www.pinrestore.com/Riveting.html
He told me he would be getting the 1" dies in this week.. still waiting for him to get back to me or update his site. Shipping is pretty expensive so I was going to ship to the states and pick it up there.
The pinball resource has most target face pieces if you are looking for them. I plan on replacing all my HS target faces when I finally get my rivet press put together.

Re: Riveting Targets
I bought my 1/2 ton press at acklands and ordered the pinbits kit . Most of it worked , the exception was some of the bolts were different sizes . The dies worked fine though .

Re: Riveting Targets
No just the 1/2 ton press . Pinbits sells a retrofit kit to convert the press to the one he sells .

Re: Riveting Targets
Oh I gotcha... you mean pinrestore though???
Too bad you don't live closer, I'd totally give you some cash to re-do some plastics and flaps for me.
I don't think I'll be ordering the kit form him, but I'll definitely be getting the die from him. I believe he orders the Dies from http://www.hansonrivet.com/ and for future reference the part numbers for the 1" dies are: CA2004-14 and CA2005-14. I got a quote directly from Hanson Rivet and the dies are $16 each plus shipping. You can also get rivets from Hanson Rivet but I think there are a few suppliers here in Winnipeg. I should call around today to see if we can source them in Winnipeg somewhere.
Part numbers for rivets that pinrestore sells from Hanson Rivet I believe are:
nickel plated brass
C1-4-ST
C1-5-ST
C1-6-ST
C1-7-ST
C1-8-ST
C1-9-ST
C1-10-ST
zinc plated steel
C1-16-ST
C1-18-ST

Re: Riveting Targets
Yikes...Sounds like a big pain....I only needed a couple targets rebuilt as they only sell the plastic face and decals for DH.

Big pain yes, but how badly do you want that new, right from the factory look?
