Battery leakage. Empty Battery leakage.

I looked in the back of the machine today and noticed one battery leaked acid of one of the chips beneath it. I brushed off the loose corrosion. The game plays normal. Will this be an issue in the future. Is there something I can do to fix this?

Thanks
Jeff

you can wash the board with water and vinegar(50/50) and scrub it with a toothbrush.make sure you dry the board really well after

Thanks malibuss. What about switching to lithium batteries? Would this be a good idea?

That acid will continue to eat away at your board. You should clean it with vinegar as Malibue-ss suggested to prevent it from eating any traces. Best way to prevent this in the future is to install a remote battery holder.
