Spinner maintenance Empty Spinner maintenance

I don't know if it's just me but it seems the spinners on my High Speed aren't working properly. They don't always return to normal position and don't seem to spin as much as I would expect. Sometimes they even slow down the ball!! I'm about to take them off and give them a good cleaning but I thought I'd ask in here to see if anyone had any suggestions. After cleaning should I use some oil? I know people generally say not to use any oil on a pinball machine but perhaps in this case a dab wont hurt. If so what sort of oil should I use? Is there any other advice you can give me?

A good cleaning is all that it should need.
I have put a small drop of oil on one though that just didnt seem to have enough zip.It was also plastic ,I believe yours is metal

A good cleaning seemed to do the trick for 2 of them, but the third has a little problem with the nylon washers that keep the rod from sliding up the shaft of the spinner.

Check it out here:

Notice how one of the nylon washers has moved up the shaft. The washer is no longer tight to the shaft so it moves freely. This causes some issues when the spinner is spinning at high speed and will cause it to stop/slow down and perhaps not register a spin properly. Any ideas how I could fix this?

I'd imagine this is the part I need?? http://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/03-7796-1

Unfortunately both are worn pretty bad. I was considering stealing one from another spinner but someone must have already thought about that because the inside ones on the other spinners are worn as well. This spinner will work well enough for now until I get a list of enough parts to warrant an order from macro.

Looks like macro is out of those washers. I'll need to do some searching to find a supply of them I suppose.
