Pinball Tournament at Keycon 2015!

Post by Yuriy M on Tue May 12, 2015 12:10 am

Okay guys, here are the details about the pinball tournaments that will be taking place this Saturday, May 16 at Keycon:

  • The tournaments are open to Keycon attendees only, meaning you must have either a weekend or Saturday day pass to participate.
  • Registration for the tournaments will take place on Floor "T" in the tabletop games room. (hint: Floor 13). Look for sign-up sheets that will allow you to register for each particular machine.
  • The machines for the tournaments will be played at the following times: 2:00 PM for Star Trek: The Next Generation, 3:00 PM for Doctor Who, and 4:00 PM for Judge Dredd. Schedule times are subject to change.
  • All participants will be granted a warm-up play before the official tournament begins in order to allow them to familiarize themselves with the machines.
  • Participants are allowed to participate in all three tournaments. If you had bad luck with one machine, you may have better luck with the other. Wink
  • The machines will be configured to tournament mode, meaning no extra balls will be given. You play three balls and that's it for your turn.
  • In the event of a discrepancy (namely power outages or some other unforeseen event), tournament organizers reserve the right to deliberate the matter and assign an arbitrary ruling based on their collective judgement. The organizers' decision is FINAL and any objections can result in disqualification from the tournament.
  • The leaderboard for each tournament is a best of 5 format. Meaning, if your score makes the top 5 in the tournament, it will be on the leaderboard.
  • All participants are allowed 1 turn for each tournament. The participants get 3 balls in their turn. All 3 balls must be fully played before the player's turn ends. The player's final score will be recorded on the score sheet at the end of their turn.
  • All participants in the tournament will be required to provide contact information either as an e-mail address or phone number. This allows the tournament organizers to contact the participants easily for the purposes of prize collection if their score makes the top 5 on the leaderboard.
  • Other participants in the tournament are expected to keep a short distance from the current participant and noise level to a minimum during the current participants turn so as to not distract the participant during play. Failure to comply could result in disqualification from the tournament.
  • All participants who do not make the top 5 in the tournament will be contacted and be given consolation prizes.
  • The rules are subject to change.

And here are the posters:

And there you have it. Smile
