Ya it is kinda surprising that they went backwards and made this machine. Didn't some company experiment with going back to rampless playfields in the 80s and it was unsuccessful? I assume this game is at least a 4 player game? Looks like it has only 1 score reel. Shocked this came out. Cool theme coulda made a better machine. I do like the cabinet though. Neat that it sits on a crate.

I don't hate EM machines I just don't get why they would make a new one. I had seen this machine briefly before but had no idea it was an EM remake. It soulds like it has speech in the video but it may be from a different machine. Id love to play it and im sure id have fun but definitely wouldn't pay a 5th of the price for it.

I believe it is not really an EM,it is a digital pin and can have up to 4 players

It would have to take 4 players. So I guess it just saves the scores for each player? So you only see the score during your turn?

pinball circus was fun , no doubt , but after about 5 games i moved on . Ive only owned one em , it was fun to adjust all the switches and clean up the stepper and contacts , but one was enough.

Re: Whoa Nellie! Big Juicy Melons confirmed + pricing
EM's are neat, and have a different feel. I like the old chimes, and the click clack of the relays as you score, its very natural sounding and appealing. I have an old em that was unserviceable, or not really worth repairing or replacing original relays (obscure brand from Spain, Recel. the title is Space Race) My plan is to convert it to SS using an arduino microprocessor to run the game routine and build my own driver boards using mosfet transistors. The goal is to recreate the original gameplay, with the original score reels and the original sound, but running off modern reliable technology. Kind of like Woah Nellie i guess, but the main reason I'm doing this is to learn something and bring back an old pin that might otherwise never be played again! Im partway along already, just waiting for some cold winter months to really dig into the project

interestingly this EM machine actually has a very basic electronic sound board and speaker but the sounds are just a few pretty bland bleeps and higher bleeps. maybe I will try and put some more space worthy sounds to it in the end.
