Anyone have a Stern 26-1200 Coil in stock?

Hey guys, in soldering a busted diode connecition on VUK ball return on my LTOR it is now no longer responding? Can I fry the diode by holding the soldering gun too long on the coil? I think I may of broken the connection of the diode by not dropping enough solder in the hole. Oh well, screw it, I just want a new coil in there.

Anyone have this puppy in stock, I will give it back to you when the new one comes in

Hey Malibu, I ran out and picked up a 40W soldering iron. Big difference, I was able to get a nice solder flow going and fixed the diode connection. LOTR back online!

Hey Malibu, I will need that coil after all. When firing up the LOTR 30 minutes ago, that VUK coil seized and began smoking after a 10 minute game! Not sure why this happened as my soldering job was pretty solid but its toast. The sleeve appears to be ok. I hope this issue is not related to something else.

I have isolated the transister to Q5 on the power board here:

I have a multimeter but am not 100% how to test it. Checking youtube now

Hey guys, how do you tell if a fuse is blown? Take a look at F21, will the fuse be completed broken if its toast? I could not get it out of the socket, too tight

According to the manual F21 is the Coils fuse
F21 3A 250V S.B. 50v DC Coils

looks toast to me.........I use a small screwdriver to get them out

Hey Malibu, I replaced the coil, soldered on no problem, replaced the fuse and fired it up. The coil seized in the up position right away, turned it off, tried again same thing. So its definitely the transistor that is shot. Dang it! If you can help me replace it on the driver board that would be great.

If anyone needs fuses or anything else from Pinball Life I am going to be putting an order in tomorrow. Let me know.

Hey Malibu, just want to thank you again for soldering in that transistor. I popped in the board, hooked it up and proceeded to play a 35 minute trouble free game. LOTR appears to be back online and working 100%
