Yeah that mod always perplexed me... why not develop with freewpc to keep to cost of the mod down and use more original hardware? https://code.google.com/p/freewpc/ Upgrade to a colour DMD or even just a regular DMD and that would be the only hardware cost for the mod. The Mod does look pretty cool though.

personally............I like the games they way they were built.No need to change anything.

When the guy changed the Star Wars code....I put it in,and people stopped playing it.

I tried Demo Man at Daves with the new code.I thought it sucked.

If looks pretty sweet , like two completely different games selectable at boot up . But holy ! It's just over 2 grand cnd by the time you get it , that's insane . If it was 1200 I would buy it ( and still cringe at the price ) I recall the price being thrown around originally , during development , at about 500 us. That's quite the change.

I've watched a few videos myself.. it looks really awesome!

I think the costs ballooned because of the hardware you get with the kit... (without looking it up) you need a small computer to run the p-roc and all the new code, the p-roc itself, p-roc driver boards (maybe), the display, some audio hardware I believe... I bet the hardware itself is around $1500 retail.

I agree with malibu on the new code thing though... games always seem to lose something when you use modded code. I haven't played a lot of modded code though so my opinion really doesn't mean much here.. lol. In this case it's a whole new set of code which makes it a whole new game... looks pretty good!
