Twilight Zone Playfield Swap....... ***DONE!!!***
Hey Guys! I'm sooooo excited, I just got my new playfield back into my Twilight Zone after completing changing over the wiring harness and all the mechs under the playfield. So now I'm basically at the stage as if I'm just doing a very good shop on a game. I have probly 10 - 15 hours left to go! I'm going to be able to get it done before I go to expo next week like I wanted. This is the biggest project I've done so far. This is my second playfield swap (first was STTNG) but unlike that one TZ I also did the complete restore on the cabinet aswell. New Decals on the head and cabinet and that was a lot of work aswell. So here are some pics and let me know what you think.......
Top picture is when ready to put back in game, bottom picture is what the old playfield looks like now
This is what I have left to take off the old one.
And this is what it looks like right now in the game. I even booted the game up at 3:15am this morning before I went to bed lol
****Sorry for the long message but I was excited and wanted to share my progress with you guys!

LOL, I've made some progress but I'm guessing I will be playing Twilight Zone on Thursday! But maybe earilier. I would have a good start today but I'm just leaving to the Winkler area for a Thanksgiving gathering so today is pretty much a write off. I'll post some more progress pics tonight or tomorrow morning of where I am now. The apron is on and most of the lower playfield is populated now, and I'm starting to work on the upper playfield stuff.

Here are a couple of more pics. I just finished the upper playfield swap today! It was MUCH more involved then I had thought it would be but it's done and looks great now. Especially with that non cracked brand new Magna-Flip plastic protected by the pinbits protector! I should be able to put a HUGE dent in it tonight as I plan on putting in 3-5 hours in tonight.

Well boys as the saying goes…………
1 month
90 hours
6 Episodes of TOP cast
2 Episodes of Spooky Pinball Podcast
6 Big Macs
2 Whoppers
1 Poutine
1 Successful Twilight Zone Playfield swap!!!!!
Looks GREAT! Time well spent. However as anybody who has done a playfield swap knows there are always some tweaking / issues after your done. And I played a couple of games last night at 2:30am when I finished and there are a couple of minor tweaks I have to do to the Bridge Diverter and my trough proximity sensor wasn’t working. I’m not sure If I need to realign it or replace it. So all in all looks AWESOME and I played it and it is AWESOME but it just has (as expected) a couple of issues I still need to work out.

LOL yes, but first I've got to clean up the basement, fix the issues, help someone with some issues with their pinballs then plan rest of trip. Then rest Tuesday night LOL!

All the bugs worked out. The proximity sensor just needed to be positioned differently and the bridge re-adjusted and BAM! One 100% working Twilight Zone!
