Yeah that is insane. I'd personally sign up for JJP and The Hobbit if I had $8k burning a hole in my pocket (HD Screen + RGB LEDs... oh and headphone jack!... no brainer!!!). Stern will need to look at the price point once JJP starts turning out pins. The foundation has been laid... first game is about to be shipped... finally some competition!

JJP needs to get their shit together before they can claim to be a real contender. First of all, that dipshit they have writing code is not friggin done yet??? Are you kidding me, sub contract that shit to a 24/7 India team, give them the routine flows and let them code it. Having to rely on one guy to complete the code is a big mistake IMO and shows the lack of vision this company has at the moment. I agree competition is needed, and JJP has shown some innovation, but they need to tighten things up and let some people go that are dragging them down. Hey Now, Rant mode off

I think Stern saw that people were willing to drop $8000.00 on JJ and they still do not even have a game done yet.
So if people are willing to shell out $8000.00 and wait.........or shell out $8000.00 and get a game right away.

In any case it sucks prices have to be so ridiculous... in the end competition is a good thing which hopefully will drive down prices (if JJP delivers of course). Unfortunately people are willing to pay the huge price tag so maybe what will actually happen is prices wont go up.

The Avengers looks pretty cool. Playfield doesn't look like a typical Gomez design. The spinning cube will add an interesting element to gameplay. Let's hope STERN has a good one here!

Looks like the Avenger Pro may be the one to get. I read on Pinside that they may be shipping Avengers before Christmas with completed code? Is this even possible? If Stern pulls this off, 1000+ WOZ LE early adopters will be crying the blues

Looks pretty badass. Too bad there is no more arcades in town. But I wish stern would buy the rights and reproduce some of the classic machines or make a twlight zone 2 or something.

I like the new ones but I have ahard time playing them because the playfield graphics are too busy. If the games tell me to try to shoot for something special, I find I have to stop and look around and read what all the targets say...just be nice if there was only a blinking light to tell me what to aim at. But my reasons are selfish. If they started making the old machines, hopefully it would bring the prices down to non-doctor/ lawyer affordable prices.
