The Hobbit in IMAX 3D = Amazing Movie!

Hey now, just want to let you guys know that the critics are shitheads. If you love the previous LOTR movies, you will enjoy the Hobbit. Peter Jackson has done an amazing job of making a 3 hour movie fly by. The special effects, especially in 3D are amazing, the music is thunderous and the villains are dastardly!

Unfortunately in Winnipeg, the theater owners are too cheap to pony up the cash to upgrade the theaters and IMAX to the HFR (High Frame Rate) technology which would of shown us the movie at 48fps vs. the normal 24fps. The HFR format is supposed to be like looking into a mirror with zero fuzziness when the cameras pan especially on big special effects shots.

Oh well, if anyone is stuck not seeing this on IMAX because the wife will not go, PM me and we will do it. I would have no problem seeing this movie again. IMAX lets you book your seats online before the show so you don't have to rush like an idiot to the movies for a good seat!

Damn I cant wait to see that flick!! Definitely will goto IMAX to see it! Sucks about the HFR technology though... I'll try and deal with it.. lol.

I saw it yesterday. Good movie. I did not enjoy it is much as the other movies. I should not spoil it for anybody by saying why. But the CGI and cinematic are awesome for sure. Too bad it will be a few years before we can see what happens next.
