Hey dude, I have been reading on Pinside that some users have powered mods and no LEDS have experience weak flipper and cannon issues after installing the ColorDMD on STTNG. Putting back the old DMD solves the issue.

Some users are connecting it to a seperate power supply to avoid the power drain. Have you noticed anything since installing it?

Nothing wrong with mine. But I have all LED's in the playfield.

Hey now, I think the fact you have LED's definately helps.

No issue here yet since installed and I have full LEDs with all 3 custom ship mods and the cannon laser mods, however I am not that impressed with it as I was with my MM color display. Needed another DMD anyways but I should have passed on this one and waited for Monster Bash or another upcoming title.

HEY NOW! Glad to hear it. The ColorDMD looks pretty cool in the videos I have seen posted on pinside. You should post a video here Slapshot so we can check it out on your machine.

Nothing different to see on mine than the videos posted, I am happy that I haven't encountered any problems with it.....so far, but if the game starts on fire or something I will post the video!

A lot of guys having issues though, they should have did more homework on R&D and included a kit to address this especially considering the price and that you could have bought a 50" flatscreen for the same money!

The colors of the Translite, with the Color DMD and the LED's really make the high tech theme pop. Looks like a modern PIN considering it came out in '93.
