Monster Bash official restore thread
Here are some current pics of the MB. As you can see the cabinet is disgusting and the playfield is o.k with a couple spots of wear. I have the lockdown bar, legs, side rails, and hinges all powdercoated and you can see what it looks like as I currently have the new lockdown bar on it. The game is just about ready to start the restore. I think I'm going to wait for the ColorDMD rom to come out so I can try that first.

Yeah, it's decent. Not good enough not to change but good enough that it will be worth something to sell after I'm done my swap.

It begins!! Happy I was able to give it a go before the restore. Now I'll be able to compare how well it plays after! Were you able to get that playfield out of there on your own?

Today I was working on it again. I worked on cleaning the wire harnesses with Simple Green and I managed to get 2 of the 3 decals off the cabinet. I also was able to take apart and entirely clean the backbox light tub and translite and glass. Also changed the broken molding on it. It was a good day today .

Re: Monster Bash official restore thread
FINALLY! Well I've got I'm sure OVER 30 hours of work on the bottom of the cabinet alone! I started in early September and just today I finally managed to prime the bottom of the cabinet! I still am working on the head but it is coming along nicely and won't take much longer and looks like weather is going to cooperate with me this week for painting. Picking up the tools to finish the cabinet on the weekend from the USA and then can do all the fun stuff like putting the ground braid back in all the mechs tilt, boards, wires, power box etc. all back in. Can't wait to get the cabinet done and start giving hard on the playfield!

Thanks. I learned a lot from when I did it to Twilight Zone last year and also the Bryan Kelly thread on his Indiana Jones restore on pinside. Cab should be on legs this weekend with the powder coat stuff!!!
