What about a "barcade"?
Not sure how well a arcade would survive in this town but what about these pub/arcades? I don't drink so I don't if these kind of places would be popular in a city like ours.

yeah... we've discussed it before on here.. it would definitely be cool. It's all about location. Maybe in the exchange? Gotta have regular events happening and hope to get a lot of people hooked. Would be great venue for a IFPA pinball league in Winnipeg as well.

Omaha NE has a "Beercade" as does Chicago. If Omaha (similar population to Winnipeg) can support a bar / arcade concept, why can't we? I'm not a drinker but I would not mind going. It's just that my son is 15 & he's my only pinball buddy I have. But imagine if we had some place like that & we could have tournaments etc. here.

Re: What about a "barcade"?
The "Barcade" Is a decent experience. There are not really arcades left here in Winnipeg so I was beyond delighted to see Reset open.
As people have mentioned the machines are in a bit of disrepair. Not just the pinball either. The machines do have the "Allied coin" paper on them. So I don't think Reset actually owns the machines. For me the TZ and Addams Family are certainly playable but the lighting is POOR! That is the only really bad thing.
Reset has been fairly dead the 3 times I have gone and sadly will unlikely be able to stay in business. So with this being said anyone wanting to check it out before its gone let me know and I would love to join you!

Re: What about a "barcade"?
Nightclubs can be quite the volatile businesses from what I've seen. Some of the ones downtown had to rebrand themselves multiple times just to keep themselves fresh and relevant. I wouldn't be surprised if Reset goes down that same path.
I still want to have the opportunity to check it out though.
