Visting the Peg - Anyone want to play ?
Hey guys,
I'll be in town next week and was wondering if anyone is up for some pin?
Is there a WPG Pinball league with tournaments?
If not, is there anywhere in town to play with decent location machines?
I was born and raised in Winnipeg and moved to Montreal a little over 10 years ago.
I started a league here in 2013 and have been trying to build a competitive community after my first PAPA experience.
Hope to hear from ya !

As Malibu mentioned, the place with the most pins on location here in Wpg is Wpg Beach. From my experience they are usually in descent shape.
Unfortunately there is no league here but I would love to see one start up.

Thanks for the info guys.
I definitely will check out the Wpg Beach location!
As for starting a league, why not give it a shot yourself?
Seems like you have the perfect forum here to organize something.
You can also have your league sanctioned by the IFPA, the only requirements are that the tournaments are open to everyone and they are listed on the IFPA calendar 30 days in advance.
After a couple of IFPA events, you can have a provincial championship, with the winner earning a ticket to the North American championship!

Thanks for the info! I'd really like to pursue this myself however we really don't have a venue here to host the tournament. It would be nice to know a bar owner that was into pinball that might be interested in putting in a few games to draw the pinball crowd together once a week for mini tournaments or something.

Re: Visting the Peg - Anyone want to play ?
The idea of starting up a Winnipeg Pinball League has been floating around in gaming circles in the peg for some time. Hell, I've been considering starting up one myself but keeping it restricted to community events until there are enough members in the league to properly expand into larger venues. Unfortunately, I've come down on hard times in terms of finding work and getting all my financial ducks in a row.
One idea I can suggest is to join up with Retro Gamers Winnipeg and see about renting a machine for their semi-annual retro gaming events. You can check out their page at retrogamerswinnipeg.blogspot.ca
Any other thoughts?
