Pinball in Lockport,MB
If you take the short 15 min drive from the North end to Lockport you can play The Getaway, Super Mario Bros @ The Half Moon. Also there is a Fish Tales and a Gottlieb Wipe Out at the old Skinner's location and a Whirlwind at the new Skinner's. They all work but all have minor issues.

They have 2 newer Sterns at Silver City Polo Park. They have Batman and Big Buck Hunter. Batman is REALLY dirty and doesn't play well. But Big Buck Hunter played fine last time I tried.

I was just at Polo Park today and the Batman is still really dirty and the Big Buck Hunter is now missing the right flipper button. They both need some maintenance.

The guy that services that arcade for Starburst doesn't do a very good job. I wish somehow I could take over that job. The Arcade would be a much better place. Those pinballs would be working a lot better and maybe even making some money lol.

Re: Places to play in Winnipeg
Played World Cup Soccer 94' at Grand Prix Amusements just east on #1 last night. Was in not bad shape. Could use a servicing but it was mostly playable. Credits were 25c.
Also found Goldeneye 007 in the Laundry Centre (next to Lovey's BBQ) on Marian. 50c a play. Pretty tough game and I think the flippers might be a bit weak as I couldn't get the ball go to all the way through the right ramp with a good shot. Only did it once on account of a good bounce and some good momentum. Also, I found the satellite ramp didn't come up fast enough (or stay up long enough) for me to hit the satellite. Other than that it's in good shape.

Theater of Magic is downstairs at the bowling lane in polo park. Plays well with some very minor issues (needs a good cleaning). It gave a lot of free games so if you are looking to play a lot for cheap it's a good place to do it!

Darryl told me that the Flying J Travel Plaza (4100 Portage Ave, Headingley) is currently hosting an Indiana Jones! It has to be the Stern version right? Gonna check out that puppy this weekend.

Re: Places to play in Winnipeg
Actually went with a co-worker to play some pins at lunch today at Silver City Polo Park. Work so damn close, bout time I went there to hit up Buck Hunter and AC/DC. Not a fan of BH but gotta love selecting songs as you play with AC/DC.
Malibu is that your high score on AC/DC?

Yep, said RIK ... must be nice!
I did enough to get a few free plays and not much more than that.
Overall... not a bad afternoon though. Played a few pins, submitted a bid, went to hooters and then came home early! lol

Twilight Zone and Dr. Who are at The Rose n' Bee Pub (61 Sherbrook). They looked in good shape with LEDs throughout. Didn't get a chance to play them though (was playing music with my band there on Saturday night).

Re: Places to play in Winnipeg
Hey Prock, is that a cool place as I have never been there? What kind of music does your band play? Hey now!
Re: Places to play in Winnipeg
Yeah it's pretty cool... small but not cramped. They always have something going on (check out their facebook page). I've been in there before so I was very surprised when I seen the pins. I really wanted to try Dr Who. Looks fun but the art leaves something to be desired.
We play stuff like the sheepdogs, neil young, the band, tom petty. Things have gotten busy the last while so we don't get together very often anymore. People are getting married and having kids.. lol.
EDIT: This thread is for placed to play in Winnipeg so we probably shouldn't hijack it.

No worries, bars and pinball go hand in hand. You could not have one without the other in the hey day of pinball. Please post in a seperate thread when your band is playing and I will come by check out the pins, chicks and band! Hey now!

They now don't have any pinballs at the Flying J in Headingley. Went by to try out the Indiana Jones and was greatly disappointed.paulohotline wrote:Darryl told me that the Flying J Travel Plaza (4100 Portage Ave, Headingley) is currently hosting an Indiana Jones! The game is located in front of the Denny's entrance. I went and played the IJ4 on Wednesday over lunch. On my third ball I finally got the 8 ball mb, unfortuantely one of the balls got stuck up on a plastic. After lighlty tilting the game to try to free the ball which wouldn't come loose, I called Darrell to let him know the ball was stuck.... The game seemed like more fun than its rating on Pinside, but I am an Indy fan. I wish I would have been able to play a few games, my only complant was just one ramp.

What kind of place is this The Rose n' Bee Pub? Would I look like a weirdo if I ordered a beer and played pinball all night?
