Re: Places to play in Winnipeg
Yuriy you were on my home strip!!!!!!!!!!! I live a stones throw from those machines and I am at them often. The BH's on the funhouse scoreboard are me! I don't have scores on lethal weapon. I like that one least. Its a robber and funhouse is too close for me to spend too much time on lethal weapon 3.
What did you do at GBF?!!!! Was it the cutie with the ponytail? She is super nice and even gives me change for the machine. So odd they said that. Well its a Black Rose!!!! Its fun as heck but the ball has been dropped on the cannon so many times it has chipped it and some bad things can happen when the ball rolls over it. They also have bubble bobble and a racer. Bubble bobbles good but the racer was meh.
When you are around again message me and I would LOVE to join you!
Im serious id be there in 5 mins with a pocket full of loonies. This goes for anyone on my home strip!!!!

Re: Places to play in Winnipeg
Normally, I need to watch the movie that the machine is based on first before I play the machine itself just so I could be more familiar with the theme and references. I'm sad to say that my viewing of Lethal Weapon went as far as the first half-hour of the first flick. I'm severely behind on the times.
As for what happened at GBF, I stepped in the door and the first thing I saw was the Raiden machine and I was about to go play the game when the girls behind the counter told me that the machines are for customers only, meaning that if you wanna play, you gotta order food first. Go figure.
I'll message you, Brennan, and we'll have a few games, but first, I have to see if my work schedule will allow me to get off early in the afternoon. This week, I was able to get off at 3 PM but next week I'm scheduled till 6:45 PM. This may go on for a while because our workplace is getting into peak season with many students returning to classes and I have to help them establish new loans for their upcoming school years.
I'll follow up when I have the time.
By the way, glad to read that the pin is Black Rose. The only other time that I've seen that machine was at A Little Slice of Pizza Heaven on Osborne several years ago. It shared the floor with a Bram Stoker's Dracula and a WWF Wrestlefest cab. Nowadays, I play the virtual version on Farsight's Pinball Arcade.

Count me in Griever2 . One day we should try that funhouse machine. I am not very good either. Thats the one that formerly called "georgies" ? Wonder if the food is still the same? Send me a private message or underneath this one with a celephone number.

Re: Places to play in Winnipeg
Went to Reset a week or two ago.
TCFTBL was a lot of fun-maybe even my favourite table-but it isn't quite balanced properly: the ball drifts to the right. I could be remembering wrong, but I don't believe the hologram is functional.
Star Trek TNG has been replaced with Goldeneye. The DMD is worn out, but readable. Though the other pins at Reset take loonies only, this machine only accepts quarters. Even if you put a loonie in the loonie slot, the machine still thinks it's a quarter, so watch your money.
Addams Family seemed fine; Raul Julia's voice clips always crack me up ("It, old man!").
Went to Half Moon this past weekend: that Episode 1 machine is...interesting. If you haven't already, there's a documentary on Youtube called "Tilt" about the whole Pinball 2000 system and fall of Williams everyone should check out.
GBF on Henderson seems to have closed down; Zax is moving into it from Portage Ave. Hopefully they keep some kind of pin in there.
Phew, sorry. Didn't mean to make this post so long!

Hopefully they do. I'm not sure why Elmwood is such a hotbed from burger joints and pins, but I'm not complaining. It also sounds like I'll have to make a pilgrimage to Winnipeg Beach one of these days; I haven't been out there in years and I'm a sucker for EMs.

Re: Places to play in Winnipeg
The Getaway machine at The Good Will on Portage has been replaced with Stern's Batman. Goldeneye is still there; both work well.
Made my way out to Winnipeg Beach the other weekend and had a blast at the Broadway Station Arcade. All the tables Funhouse mentioned are there, plus a ton of vids (including Lucky & Wild: an incredible multiplayer game that hasn't made it to any home console and probably never will) and that punching bag game that's always a laugh. Can't recommend it enough.
There's a place called Playland right next to it that unfortunately has no pinball and most of its vids are broken in one way our another.
EDIT:I should also add the Funhouse at Henderson Burgers & Subs is out of order.

Re: Places to play in Winnipeg
New(ish) location (on the app, at least):
Rudy's Video & Convenience at 668 Sheppard. I saw Grevier2 mention it in a thread ages ago and checked it out. They have Lethal Weapon 3, No Fear, and Rocky & Bullwinkle, plus a couple vids in decent condition (Lethal Enforcers, WWF Wrestlemania). Nice guy behind the counter, too.
I played Funhouse at Henderson again a couple weeks ago and while it is back in order, the ball really likes moving to the right. Rudy's eyelids are kind of stiff, too, but that doesn't affect gameplay.

Re: Places to play in Winnipeg
Goldeneye at The Good Will has been replaced with a No Good Gofers. Seems to be in tip top shape, too! In the middle of sucking pretty bad, I even managed to nail the hole-in-one shot once.
Definitely give it a play.

And Malibu's (I think that's his screen name here) first pin:
