Three so far: Addams Family, T2 and Twilight Zone.
Yellowghost wrote:True but they can't get into a bar..or shouldn't be able too anyway. I despise alcohol so I would prefer the implementation of a actual arcade rather than a "beercade". I find it uncomfortable going into a bar without ordering anything just to play pinball. There is a big arcade in Las Vegas a few blocks off the "strip" and I din't see any punks in there. Some weird looking people but nobody that would cause a person to be on-guard.
Well, Reset Interactive Ultralounge is putting that to the test. I wish them all the best for it and hope they don't attract trouble from the city.

By the way, You can go here and search for Winnipeg city bylaws pertaining to the operation of amusement devices in an establishment. It should set the record straight on what goes and what doesn't.

Was in the neighborhood today so dropped into "academy lanes west". There is a Jurassic park and a John Neumonic pinball . Both are in surprisingly playable condition. Wasn't feeling jurassic park but the other one wasn't bad.

Johnny Mnemonic is a criminally underrated pin.

I also happen to like the movie but that's because I love cyberpunk. Wink

I thought the same thing. Its owned by "palladium" the same company that rents machines to silver cities. Its operated by a rediculous swipe card thing. You need to goto the register , ask for card, hand them a dollar so they can add dollar worths of credits to the card. ALSO, tried the fish tales at golf dome. VERY dirty but ..kicked my butt so it must be in proper working condition.

Was at reset lounge today. Adams family, and twilight zone and terminator. Bad news...twilight zone seams playable but powers down randomly losing your game and credits. Adams family flippers lack power to make ramp shot. Terminator 2 plays good but poorly leveled. Good concept..never thought I would ever see three machines in one location in this city.

They are in good condition compared to most machines in this town. They just need a little work to play the way they should. The twlight zone just reboots on its own but played well while it was working. Its the only place in town and maybe the whole province where you can play these two machines so hopefully the staff called allied coin to go have a look.

Well, knowing Irv, he can have the machines working in tip top shape. Good thing I still have his phone number. Wink

Twlight zone has unfornutately been replaced by guns'n'roses pinball. Its in nice shape but hard to follow the ball. Not sure if its caused by the leds or bar lighting.

WOW! Went to silver city tonight and to my surprise no more AC/DC but a BRAND NEW KISS PRO in it's place. Only had time for one game but it looks cool but I wish the sound was turned up higher as it was kind of hard to hear. But I'll go back and try it out on my lunch hour when it's quieter and check it out some more. Very Happy

Places to play in Winnipeg - Page 5 Empty Re: Places to play in Winnipeg

Hello! I am new to this amazing forum! Here is my input!

Henderson Burger (Old Georges) 212 Henderson Hwy

FUNHOUSE!! This machine replaced the Whirlwind that was there previously. However the plunger is so messed up and there is a major issue with the hidden hallway when you try locking a ball at 11:45. It will end your current ball 70% of the time. Super frustrating!!!

Reset Ultra Lounge 1931 Pembina Hwy

Terminator 2 - Out of order always. I actually got it to play once but I wouldn't bother trying.
Adams family - plays great but the lighting in reset is very poor.
twilight zone - plays fine when it doesn't turn off randomly. This rarely happens to me but display is also shot. can hardly see your current score.

Rossmere Bowing 1042 Henderson Hwy
World Cup Soccer 94 - Dirty machine but played well for the first bit for me. Didn't take loonies but did take quarters at 3 plays for 1$. I played about 10 credits before I locked a ball on a ball 3. The machine just did nothing. It didn't activate the lock ball or anything. It was like my ball was still in play. I tried giving it some slight tilts to no avail. There is still a credit in there. Oh and whoever rocked that table at 220mil is a champ! I just wonder if they used continues.

Winnipeg Beach! Two different arcades Playland and the one right beside it.
Playland
Dracula - Broken
playboy - Broken
crusin night - Broken
Baseball (pinball not a pin bat game) - Broken

All machines were broken and he wouldn't even let me look at them just to see the tables for the first time. Didn't like the guy but perhaps others have had a more positive experience.

The place beside Playland. AMAZING!!!!!!!

Star trek pro - great!
dr who - great!
creature from the black lagoon - great!
rocky and Bullwinkle - Dirty and worn but plays ok.
no good gophers - Great
Fish tales - Great!
Judge Dredd - Great!
World Cup Soccer 94 - Amazing!
Addams family - Great!
and they had 3 other older 70s tables all working great!

I am about to hit up the goodwill tonight and will post about the tables later!

Oh and if anyone wants to meet up and play some pinball message me! I am always wanting to meet new people. Plus I generally suck at pinball and would love to meet some great players. If the seller doesn't bail on me I should be getting my first table this Friday and im super excited so I should be getting a bit better soon.

I just played Funhouse at Henderson Burger today. jocolor It's fantastic and I always wanted to try the physical machine after playing the Farsight Pinball Arcade version for years! Very Happy In fact, I think I like the physical machine more than the virtual recreation by Farsight!

In other news, there is a Lethal Weapon 3 pinball machine in the Video World on Henderson. The DMD is a bit ghosted but the machine itself looks like it's in great shape! Smile

I also was going to check out what machines were available at the Burger & Fry Co. but the staff refused to let me even have a GLIMPSE of the machines unless I ordered food first.
