Re: Places to play in Winnipeg
Primos Collectables in Garden City mall (near food court)has a Gottlieb Mars God of War . Was walking by last night at closing time just as he was turning the machine off. I assume its for use by the public and not just a store prop.
Re: Places to play in Winnipeg
not really for public use.he is trying to sell it

good call. i stop there whenever i can.
someone on here was asking about an adams family machine and i came across one on the red river notre dame campus in the cave as well. not sure if its still there, that was a couple years ago now.
i know its not in winnipeg, but there is a pinball museum in vegas, probably a half hour walk from the strip. tons of pins and a few classic arcade games as well. the website says all pins are free but that wasnt the case when i was there. dumped a lot of quarters that day thats for sure, highly recommend it.
anyway, just signed up here and thought i would say hey.
cheers.

Just played AC/DC pro at Polo Park Silver City. Wow is that game ever dirty. Makes you want to open it up and give the playfield a quick cleaning.

Re: Places to play in Winnipeg
I read on a website called "pinside" that "rose n bee pub" has three pinball machines, including a funhouse!!! But apperently they closed down. Anybody have any idea where it got shipped to?

Dropped into "bar italia" and twilight zone and world cup are gone. It could now possibly be that no twlight zones exist in town. There is in its place a goldeneye and a batman machine. The batman seemed fun but theres a ramp that is supposed to return the ball to the right flipper but due to poor design or whatever, the ball just rolls over the edge and drains so don't waste your money on this. Also all pinball is now gone from "a little piece of heaven" the pizza joint on osborn. A sad and frustrating day.

If you want to find out were the Twilight Zone has gone you can try contacting Irv at Allied coin,as most of the machines around town are his
Weird on the Batman,I own onee and it never seems to do what you have described so there must be an issue with his game

Re: Places to play in Winnipeg
Yep 1966malibu. Very odd. Its a wire ramp. The lip isnt high enough to keep the ball inside. It doesn't appear that a piece has been removed to make drains easier but the whole ramp has been rotated slightly. No wonder pinball is dying. As for Irv. I went there once to buy LED bulbs and I asked him if there where any twilights zones left in town and if so, what locations..and I had to prod him a little to get a specific answer. Thats how I found out about the one at "a little piece of heaven" ..I went there a few days later to play it and it wasn't even there. It din't arrive until a few weeks later. While I was there I saw something I was interested in and I asked if it was for sale. He said everything in here was for sale. I asked for a price and he was like umm..well..uhh..... BUT nice guy, seemed glad to give tech advise.

Re: Places to play in Winnipeg
I had that batman in my basement for almost a year and played thousands of games on it.not once did the ball roll,of the ramp. I will take a look at it this weekend.
They asked me over a year ago to remove the pinballs from pizza heaven so,they could put in more tables. Try to stay current
Twilight zone is at union sound hall on McDermott ave
Anyone who knows me knows I would never say "everything in here is for sale" I have almost a hundred pinballs but don't really sell that much

Three service calls and 4 hours work. I don't get it worked perfect before I took it there.

Re: Places to play in Winnipeg
Dr. Who is another of my favorites! Hey Funhouse, are there any funhouse or popeye machines on location anywhere in town? I haven't seen a funhouse in years. The only time I think was when the Albert had pinball machines in the corner. And maybe when the old airport had pinball machines upstairs. Anybody remember those two rows of machines? As for popeye...I haven't seen one since I was at "first ave." bar in Minneapolis when they still had a arcade. They say its not very good but I am a huge popeye fan.
